FOTD and wish list

Hey my lovely puddings!

Phew, I’ve been on non stop go since having Broc (my new australian shepherd puppy) he just turned 13 weeks old on tuesday. He is such a blast! (I’ll add some photos of him at the end of this post) πŸ™‚

Now, isn’t all this sunshine in the UK great? Heatwave! Everything is so summery now. I love it. The hottest day so far was at 30 degrees C.

FOTD (face of the day) time. I’ve gone for a gold smokey-ish eye, with the classic winged eyeliner. (I’d be dead without my eyeliner). hahaha. I then paired this with a sultry soft red lip.

The gold eyeshadow has a subtle hint of shimmer, and so really sparkles out in the sunshine, perfect for summer! πŸ˜€

I thought I’d put together a little wish list of the current things I’m pining over, seeing as I have no money and have been longing over stuff I can’t have. It’s always the case with me… πŸ˜›

Makeup inspiration

Here you will find a collection of various photos of makeup looks, that I use as inspiration for my own makeup, a sort of ‘mood board’ if you will. Enjoy! πŸ˜›

Flipsticks?

Hey puddings!

So, I was on superdrug.co.uk, and started looking at lipsticks (as always! Not that I need any more) anyway, it was then that I saw these double ended lipsticks called “Flipsticks” by Max factor. They instantly reminded me of doubled ended colouring pencils that I had when I was little. *nostalgia moment*

Don’t they look nifty? They are also in a ray of fabulous colours!

The description from max factor, about their flipsticks:

“Max Factor lets you push the boundaries of lip colour with its innovative double-ended design.

Colour Effect Flipstick features one rich and creamy colour and one lighter, iridescent lipstick shade.

The colour combinations were expertly matched by Max Factor make up artists and the super-blendable formula lets you create your look with ease. You can wear each colour alone, blended together, one on each lip, or apply the second shade just to the centre of your lip.

This season it’s all about lip artistry so get experimenting!”

I’m really tempted to buy a few… I love the reds and the pinks! They also look like a lot of fun to use as well. πŸ™‚

What do you think? Perhaps you already own a flipstick, please share your views.

Lip of the day – Barry M 162. ‘Cranberry red’.

I did a post yesterday about my new Barry M lip paint ‘162’ ‘Cranberry red’. Here I am wearing the lip paint, it’s a gorgeous ever so slightly vampy red. (A tad darker in real life) Bang on trend for winter this year! But then, red lips will never go out of style. πŸ˜‰ just love them!

Image

I’m totally in love with it, it’s moisturising because of the cocoa butter in it, doesn’t dry the lips out, and lasts! It’s also fruity scented! Mmmm.

Will you be trying out the vampy lip look this winter?

New lipstick buy! Barry M, Cranberry red

Whilst on a shopping trip today, I popped in to Super drug, and decided to buy a new lipstick. Looked at the new Barry M, moisturising lip paints. These are great Β as they have Cocoa butter in them, so keep your lips hydrated and soft. Which is brilliant now we are getting in to winter! πŸ˜‰

I bought their ‘162’ cranberry red. It’s a gorgeous blue based red, so don’t be fooled by it, as it looks a brown/red in the bullet. πŸ˜‰ (Below are some swatches…)

The packaging is pretty too! An in your face, vibrant fuchsia pink! πŸ™‚

It has a high sheen to it when first applied, however after a while on your lips it gradually turns more matte. Because of the cocoa butter, I found it didn’t dry out my lips as much as their regular lip paints. *thumbs up*

This shade is perfect for those wanting to try out the vampy red lipstick trend, without going for a dark purple or wine red. I think it’s a lovely shade, and totally bang on for winter!
