Yummy papaya NOTD

Hello my puddings!

The weather is getting warmer, and the sun in coming out more. So that must mean summer is close. πŸ˜‰

Similar to my lychee NOTD post, this is another nail of the day, using the Barry M spring gelly nail paints, that I won. Today I used Papaya.

Image

Image

As you can see this colour is perfect for wearing in spring/summer. It has such a beach vibe to it IMO. The colour is a light, coral/peach. Not at all a harsh red orange. I think this colour will suit most, if not all skin tones.

Again, application is fab. As is all Barry M nails paints that I have used. The high shine formula really does work, and once dry the nails look shiny and glossy. So this saved me using my top coat. Although, you could use a clear topcoat on top as well, if you wanted to.

I think that Papaya is my favourite colour out of the spring gelly collection. Even just the sound of its name makes me think of fresh, yummy fruit and hot sunshine!

What do you think of the colours in Barry M’s spring gelly range? Which one is your favourite?

NOTD – Lychee

Hi puddings!

Today is a nail of the day post. Featuring one of the nail paints that I won from the barry M ‘flash your lashes’ comp, see what I won hereΒ πŸ™‚

This is Lychee. One of Barry M’s new spring gelly nail paints. It is a natural, soft beige/nude colour.

Image

Image

I think that this colour can work on a variety of skin tones, and it’s a perfect colour to wear as is, or even layer glitter over, or use it as a base colour for nail art. Application is a dream, as to be exspected. It applies smoothly, and evenly. I would say it takes a little longer to dry/stays ‘squidgey’ for longer than the ‘normal’ nail paints. Though that is probably because of the formula, as it is the high shine, gellys. (I’ve never had/tried any until now).

Overall this colour is fabulous, and very different from anything i have in my collection so far. I have many pastel pinks, and taupe. But no actual nude based colours, so Lychee (what a yummy name too!) is a much welcomed addition. πŸ˜‰

Happy bunny this morning.

Hello puddings!

I’m a very happy bunny this morning! Why? Well…

Barry M ran a competition a couple of weeks back, called “Flash your lashes”. This was to promote their new lash vegas mascara.

Basically you had to take a photo of yourself, and what you would flash your lashes at. The 10 chosen winners would receive a rather brilliant a ray of barry m products. (worth around Β£55 in total)

  • Lash vegas mascara
  • 3 Gel eyeliners in (black, silver,champagne).
  • 4 Spring Gelly shine nail paints (Dragon fruit, lychee, papaya, green berry)
  • 4 Road texture effect nail paints (Atlantic road, Ridley road, Kingsland road, Station road).

The runners up, would receive just their lash vegas mascara.

The photo I sent was, myself flashing my lashes at some chocolate shaped high heels! πŸ˜‰ and I was picked as 1/10 winners! *huge smile* This morning my prizes arrived…

Sooooooo many pretty colours. I can’t wait to swatch and try them all, and of course do blog posts about them. I mentioned before i loved the spring gellys, so they are a much welcomed addition to my collection.

Right, now I need to go out and buy some nail polish remover. hahaha πŸ˜›

NOTD

my nail of the day… Barry M blue denim, with Barry M ‘no name’ as i call it, limited christmas glitter, which featured in an older post here.

Image

This NOTD did start out as all denim nails, and just one nail with added glitter…but i’m obsessed with all things sparkly, so all my nails ended up with the glitter. πŸ˜‰

NOTD – perfect purple.

Hey my little puddings!

As some of you may have read a while ago, I bought some false oval shaped nails. So yesterday I decided to wear them and show you my NOTD. πŸ™‚

And it’s no hidden secret that I ADORE Barry M nail paints… the colours I used were

Barry M Β “Bright purple”, and then their gorgeous pastel “Berry Ice cream” as an accent colour on just one nail. I really liked how it came out, and think the colours complement each other. I’m tempted to put gold glitter on them though, haha I think I love glitter too much πŸ˜› shhhh!

New Barry M nail paints.

Hey my lovely puddings!

Who is excited for Barry M’s new release of ‘Gelly, hi shine nail paints’? The colours are gorgeous, light and totally summery. And the names are so tropical and make me hungry.

Image

How lush are they! They will be hitting Superdrug in just 2 days!!! My two top favourites are ‘Dragon fruit’ and ‘green berry’. However, I do really like them all. I’d be interested to see how the Lychee colour comes out, as it’s different to anything I’ve seen, colour wise.

Which colour are you excited about? Perhaps all of them, like me? πŸ˜‰

NOTD Leather croc

Hey my little puddings…

This is my nail of the day, a deep red base coat with a moc croc effect over the top, to give the impression of cracked leather.

Image

The red underneath, is nail inc. in “Piccadilly circus”. It’s a gorgeous deep almost burgundy red, really vampy and great colour for autumn/winter. It glides on the nails so smoothly and easily, and dried relatively quick, which is great for people like me, who have little patience for nails to dry. πŸ˜‰

The moc croc is Barry M’s nail effects varnish, in black “croc effects”. I love love LOVE this varnish, I just love the look and texture that it gives, again as with all Barry M nail varnishes it applies easy, smooth and even…the effects varnishes dry really quickly, which is great. Β This croc is my favourite varnish in my collection, it also goes with ever colour imaginable as it is in black. πŸ˜€

Jewels! (Barry M nail paints)

Hey my little christmas puddings! πŸ™‚

I hope you all have had a lovely Christmas/what ever holiday it is you celebrate!

I went down to superdrug in town today, as I had a Β£15 gift card. And made a dash for the Barry M display. I was looking for some bright jewel colours. And sure enough I found some gorgeous colours, the ones I bought are- 312 Indigo, 272 Shocking pink, and 303 Bright purple.

Image

(Indigo, shocking pink, bright purple)

These are gorgeous bright jewel colours, I think my favourite is the indigo. I cant wait to do some swatches of them. My nail varnish collection is full of pastels, metallics and softer/muted colours, so these will certainly add a bold, pop of colour to my collection πŸ˜€ I also think they would look great on my nails when I’m wearing my new new, ‘Jeffrey campbel’ Litas. ❀

I also then noticed that if you spent so much on Barry M’s makeup, you could get one of their glitter nail paints for free. So I picked this one. I believe it is a christmas limited edition, I also love the bright coloured/textured bottle lid!

Image

Image

I tried to look for the name of this, however I couldn’t find one? All I could gather was that it was a limited christmas glitter. It’s a fine glitter, a mixture of red, blue, silver and green. I also thought it looked quite similar to the ‘Jewel Britannia’ which sold out VERY fast at my local superdrug. I missed out on it, however I’m happy with this glitter, as it is similar. πŸ™‚

Image

I took this photo outside, as I wanted to capture the colours of the glitter.

I’m addicted and all for the Barry M nail paints. There are always sooooo many gorgeous colours, wether they are pastel, or vibrant. So excited to try my new ones out. πŸ™‚

‘Gold bar’ Nail art – with Barry M

Hey puddings! I wanted to try out some nail art…I call this one ”Gold bar”. I used Barry M’s ‘Berry Ice cream’, as the base colour over my whole nail, to make the tips. I then used Barry M ”Bright pink” and made a horizontal line at the bottom of my nails. And Finally, I used Barry M ”gold foil” and applied a horizontal bar across the centre of my nails, to create a gold bar effect Β πŸ™‚

Image

I still need to clean up the edges, but I’m happy with the outcome, and think it would look really cute for summer!
